Next Chapter Title, Inc. ("Next Chapter Title," "we," "us") is a Florida title insurance agency in Ocala, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through nextchaptertitle.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website. The nonpublic personal information we handle during a closing is also covered by the privacy notice we provide with your transaction documents, as the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact / order form, you may send us:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- The address of the property involved
- Your message
- An uploaded purchase contract or other document, which may include the names of the buyers and sellers, the purchase price, and deposit and financing terms
Please don't send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or wiring information through the website form. If we need that information for your closing, we'll collect it through a secure channel.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider receive standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. We use website analytics (such as Google Analytics), which relies on cookies or similar technologies, to understand how visitors use the site. Our title insurance calculator runs entirely in your browser; the numbers you type into it are never sent to us.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and to open, process, and close your title order
- To coordinate your transaction with the parties who need the information: lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, title insurance underwriters, surveyors, and government recording offices
- To protect you and your funds, including verifying wire instructions and preventing fraud
- To comply with Florida and federal law, regulatory requirements, and underwriter requirements
- To understand and improve how our website works
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Beyond the transaction parties listed above, we share information only with service providers that help us run our business and this website, such as website hosting, secure form and email delivery, and analytics. They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a subpoena or a regulator, or to protect against fraud.
How we protect it
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information you give us, and we limit access to the staff who need it to handle your file. We keep transaction records for as long as Florida law and our underwriters require. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is why we ask you to call us to verify any wire instructions before sending funds.
Your choices
- You can ask to see or correct the personal information you've sent us through the website.
- You can opt out of analytics cookies by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- We only text you about your transaction if you've given us your number for that purpose.
